Get some action at Fridays Live "Get Some Auction" Date Auction

"Fridays Live," Ohio University’s Friday night sketch comedy show, is presenting fans and friends with an opportunity to bid on their favorite "Fridays Live" cast and crew members as they put themselves on the market at their “Get Some Auction” Date Auction.

This free event, which takes place at 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, in the Front Room, with MC Drew Crabtree, will feature cast and crew member “auctionees” Vince Tropea, Allen Henry, Margie Pandora, Drew Crabtree, Ryan Etter, Kristi Ludlow, Marissa Wanstrath, Brandy Hayes, Anna Goodman, John Heeg, Sam Patt, Devin Hughes, Chris LaBonty, Matt Karp, Ali Myers, Alison Myers, Tom Ogilvie, Mimi Conley, Mandi Mellott and Brett Lee.

Musical entertainment will be provided by Wide Shot Sadie, featuring Danny Cox and Rachel Godward; Title IX; Hepatitis Q, featuring Corey Poindexter, John Oyster and Dan Young; and stand-up comedy and improv by Cynthia Robinson, The FL Improv Team, Vince Tropea, Ryan Etter Duo and Matt Karp. Auction baskets include gift cards and products from uptown restaurants such as Coldstone Creamery, The Grid Lab, Pita Pit, BW3’s, Union Street Diner and Court Street Diner.

“It’s going to be a night of entertainment and good times,” said freshman promotions team member Sam Pattantyus. “Along with the 'auctionees' baskets, we’re going to have six raffle baskets at $1 per ticket and 6 for $5,” Pattantyus said.

The Date Auction is to raise money for "Fridays Live," which is a non-profit organization. “The money we raise goes toward sets, costumes, queue-cards and props for 'Fridays Live,'” auctionee Sam Patt said.

“Last auction we made over $400, and with over one-hundred people as confirmed guests on our Facebook event, we’re expecting to make more than that this time,” said Anita Boyer, junior promotions team member. “'The ‘Get Some Auction' auction is going to be a really good time and tons of fun.”
