There are people (we’ll call them “Mayan mythology enthusiasts” as opposed to “permanent residents of their mothers’ basements” or “wackos”) who believe the world is ending at the end of 2012, based on extensive research grounded in a crappy John Cusack disaster flick and a calendar that’s a bagillion years old and likely misinterpreted by modern people.
