New Ridges exhibit honors man with ties to the community

As a lawyer in Lawrence County, Ohio for 40 years, Lloyd Moore’s interest in photography began in high school while taking pictures of the wrestling team. Moore passed away in 2010, but as a tribute to him, an exhibit called “Lloyd Moore: Without Pretense” opened at the Kennedy Museum of Art on April 8 and will run through August 14.

LFC performance sneak peak: ‘Stranger In Skitter Creek’

The Lost Flamingo Company presents “Stranger in Skitter Creek,” a murder mystery written by an Ohio University Alumnus set in a quaint American city – a locale dauntingly similar to Athens. The shows begin March 5th and 6th in Mitchell Auditorium at 8:00 p.m.



The Kennedy Museum of Art features local faculty

Varying from whimsical to deviant, the current exhibitions at the Kennedy Museum take their spectators on a viewing roller coaster. In addition to the permanent collection, the historic Kennedy Museum currently features two intensely contrasting exhibitions: “The Necessary Friction of the Machine” by sculptor Dan Price and the “School of Art Faculty Exhibition.”



Lost Flamingos motivate themselves

When spoken, the words, “Lost Flamingo Company”, would most likely be the cause for confusion. However, this company of theater-loving students should be the cause for a round of applause. And no, they don’t spend their time in search of flamingos. In fact, this entirely student-run organization is a theater group known for putting on spectacular performances during fall and spring quarters.
