The fourth installment to Pirates of the Caribbean is finally beginning to be produced. Rumors of a title and when the movie will be filmed have finally been confirmed. The title is ‘Pirates of the Caribbean:On Stranger Tides’ and the movie will be filming in Hawaii this summer. While I’m not sure if this will be the last Pirates movie, I am sure the directors and producers will find a way to make this movie go out with a bang.

Since ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End,’ everyone has been expecting and anxiously awaiting an additional movie to include the Fountain of Youth. The movie is being based on the Tim Powers’ book which inspired the sub-title ‘On Stranger Tides.’

It turns out that Empire Magazine spoke with Pirates writers Terry Rossio back in October confirming everything that was being questioned and rumored. Rossio says, “We wanted to do a story about Blackbeard and the Fountain of Youth, and Tim Powers wrote about Blackbeard and the Fountain of Youth… I don’t know if its proper to say it’s based on it, but there are enough common elements to think that the book had to be optioned to us to reasonably proceed along that story line.”

Another rumor being confirmed is that as far as anyone knows, the only character besides Johnny Depp returning to the movie is Geoffrey Rush as Barbossa. Sadly, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley will not be returning. And I say sadly for Orlando Bloom because I don’t care for Keira Knightley. She’s a huge diva and really obnoxious. Also, it makes sense for the storyline for them to not be part of the  movie.

The movie is said to be released in theaters on May 20, 2011.
