Maria Fisher
From: Canton, Ohio
Expected Graduation: 2009
Maria is an OU sophomore and is a Magazine Journalism major in the Scripps school of journalism. She has been writing for the Behind the Scenes sectioin of Speakeasy since her first quarter in Athens in the fall of '05. In addition to writing for Speakeasy, Maria is also a worship leader at the campus Christian group called Reach Out on Campus. She also plays the guitar and sings at coffee houses around town. In addition, she works at the Hwa-Wei Lee Library annex on Columbus road where she fixes library books with paper clips, glue, and love. Ahem. She talks a lot and has bright blonde hair, so she's pretty easy to spot, though small in stature. She likes to travel, though admittedly has not done much and therefore wonders if it's legitimate to say that she likes doing it. But she plans on doing it, because we should all make plans for big things, she says. She has wonderful friends. Also she prefers Pepsi over Coke.
