Meghan Louttit

Meghan Louttit is a former managing editor of SpeakeasyMag.com and was part of the founding group of the site. She is currently helping advise the staff and over the summer was appointed a managing editor of Scoop08.com, a national online student newspaper dedicated to covering the 2008 election.
Over the past three year Meghan has interned in editorial and production with American Express Publishing, Mediabistro.com, the Columbus Dispatch and FoodNetwork.com. She is a member of the Online News Association, and has attended four of their annual conferences.Meghan is a senior online journalism major in the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism, specializing in World Religions and Humanities. She has held a part-time job at Ohio University Without Boundaries for three years, where she writes press releases, articles, Web copy, designs blogs and helps facilitate student involvement on OU's island in Second Life. Also at OU, Meghan has participated in online journalism panels, communication scholars, communication student council, intramural volleyball and synchronized swimming.
She also loves to travel and spent a summer abroad studying journalism and art history in Florence, Italy. Besides travel, her interests include reading, creative writing, music, exploring New York City, spending time with family, photography and multimedia storytelling, learning how to cook for herself, and trying to spend as much as time as she can around large bodies of water.
