Bobcats swing for fences against Dayton, sweep doubleheader

During the longest doubleheader in Bobcat softball history, Ohio was swinging for the fences all day, literally. Ohio managed 9 home runs during at doubleheader against the Dayton Flyers Tuesday afternoon and swept both games by scores of 10-7 and 15-8.



Ohio takes two of three from Ball State

Thanks to stellar starting pitching, the Ohio Bobcats baseball team (18-16, 8-3) has now won three consecutive series in MAC play after taking two of three games from the Ball State Cardinals (7-25, 4-7) this weekend at Bob Wren Stadium.



Bobcats get revenge against Kent State

Honoring seniors Tenishia Benson and Alesia Howard and dedicating the game to breast cancer by wearing pink uniforms, the Ohio Bobcats took on the Kent State Golden Flashes and beat them 51-45 on Saturday at the Convocation Center.



Bobcats grind out fourth MAC victory

If the game were to be described in one word, “pretty” would not be an appropriate adjective. However, Ohio (16-4, 4-2) was able to grind out a hard-fought 56-51 victory over Western Michigan (9-11, 3-3) Wednesday night at the Convocation Center.

Ohio Hockey opens strong, defeats West Virginia 7-2

The Ohio Bobcats hockey team started its season on the right foot as it dominated the West Virginia Mountaineers by a final score of 7-2 at Bird Arena on Saturday night.



Bobcats come up short

In day one of its three-day series with the Northern Illinois Huskies (16-16, 7-3) Ohio’s baseball team (15-19, 2-8) sought to erase a shaky opening to MAC play. Despite a valiant ninth inning effort, though, Ohio fell 5-4.



Bobcats rally falls just short in loss to EKU

Ohio was a few feet away from a dramatic, walk-off victory over Eastern Kentucky, but instead left on the losing end of a 5-4 defeat.



Ohio couple lives for the Bobcats

On the first day of orientation eager freshman students learn everything from the alma mater to the various sport’s cheers. At Ohio University, students from freshman to the six year seniors bleed green and white. Even after they graduate, they stay Bobcats for life.
